Kandy, showed a link to birth order quiz, which I took and it said I am a fourth born. Hah! I'm a first born with less confidence. Oh, well my kids have had trouble with comments on my blog, and I don't know why.
Man, with as much computer trouble, technical difficulties, or stone age learning I have, now I'm trying to learn CAD, (Computer aided drafting) at college. It's a 2 day a week class, with a teacher who talks so fast, that even with my note taking I don't know what the heck he said. When I sit down at a computer at school, try to follow my notes, all these tool bars pop up that I have no idea which tool to pick. I ask questions, he types for me, so know I don't know what he just did, so I can try to figure it out another time. Then he walks away, which I thought was to help another student, but it was to help a person who was not even in our class. There is not too many students, only about a dozen, and some of them are advanced class people. So now I feel like an idiot who cannot get the help I need to proceed with the lab part of CAD.
So what I did was go back to the computer lab sit by myself, with a different teacher, asked her what this tool or that tool means. She suggested I take a regular CAD beginning class, not the architectural class. I told her I need this one for the certificate, cuz next semester I need the CAD II class. The way I learn is by visual, hands on, asking am I doing it right. When I cannot get the help I need, I get very, extemely frustrated. I need to find out the right way, so I can move on. Then when I know something, I want to teach someone else so then I know that I know the subject. You Know? You understand?
Is there a quizilla on learning styles? We'll make our own, how do you like to learn? How is
Karlene doing with her 2 boys learning styles?
I saw Karlene's home school group at park day today. Ah, it brought back fond memories and made me miss motherhood even more. I want you to know that I had to grieve motherhood, when my youngest child turned 21. You see I cannot be tellling my kids what to do anymore, they are all resposible adults. And even if they are not responsible, I am not supposed to make comments on their choices. Although, the Bible says "to honor your father and mother", it does not have a time limit, it is "so you will live long on this earth." So sorry mom, please forgive me for calling you a bitch in one of my other blogs. And I love being with Karlene, watching her be the good mom that she is. Remembering what my kids were like when I home-schooled and took them to park day. It was great to get around like minded mothers who were on this pioneer mission of trying to teach their own children at home. Nowadays it is more accepted as a teaching method, and just maybe parents know their own children better than a teacher does. Even though I have great respect for teachers, having been a teacher's aide.
OK, Bryan, is this too long for you to read? Tough sh*t. Read 'em & reap! Or read 'em & leap. Whichever you choose, but quit criticizing my blogs, it's my personality you are criticizing, and I don't like it! The freedom about blogs is I can say what I choose, there is strangers reading this, but since you guys comment, then I direct my blog to you. If there is a Red Hat blog, I might direct my comments to them! And when is Philip gonna get on this blog, instead of one where we have to sign up to comment on his??? If he read Bryan's monologue about Philip the MVP award, why doesn't Philip comment? Tommy has 35 (thousand) unanswered emails, he does not get on the internet anymore. Can anyone tell that I'm missing my kids? I have a weird way of showing it! I want to be included in their lives, not vicariously thru only Karlene cuz she is the one who talks to everyone. I think my kids should call their mother, either at home or on my cell.
I hear thru the grapevine that Philip's birthday, on 9/11, will be held at a pizza place, but has he called me to tell me or dad? I don't even know since hubby complained how he did everything while I was gone with grandkids, then proceeds to leave to drink his secret stash of beer. OK, enough bellyachin, "gimmee gimmee some lovin... everyday!"
