We are planning a trip to Ohio in August to see Kandy & Kip, and relatives and the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

I've been told to enjoy the moment, live in the moment, not to plan my memories, but enjoy each one as it happens. I am sooo trying to enjoy my moments. I wish I could receive comments on this blog, then maybe someone would respond with a way to get along with everyone. Lets face it, I am NOT my sister-in-law. I realize now (too late) what a great mother-in-law I had. I also realize that to be a great mother-in-law requires, love, patience, kindness. I love my in-laws and outlaws too. Patience and kindness I am still learning, The Lord is helping me and guiding me.

What I miss: is my children, I had a lot of fun raising them, all 5, I really miss taking them to the beach, to the park to swing or play in the sand box while I read a book. I can do that with my grandchildren, only I have to watch them more carefully, there is too many weirdos out there. In fact now that it is summer, I want to take the grandkids and their mom to those places. Plus, now the summer concerts in the park starts soon. I will go with Ana and her 4 granddaughters, my 2 grandsons, it's fun.

Another fun thing I want to do is ride a bike, of course, that means getting the cobwebs and grass off a bike in our yard, taking it to a bike repair shop... oh heck, I'll just... Swimming is always nice, if I can find a safe pool. I have excuses for everything, time to go to bed. Good nite. Remember to find joy in all things. Rejoice in the Lord always, again I say rejoice! Rejoice, Rejoice, again I sing rejoice! Remember the round singing, love it!!!

I want to let you know that the Air Force base I just mentioned on June 10, 2004, is the same place that the funeral procession on Las Posas Road that President Ronald Reagan went by on June 11, 2004. I wanted to go in person and wave a flag, and be a part of history. Oh well, it was enough to see history being made on t.v. It reminds me of seeing President John F. Kennedy's funeral, and John Boy's little salute to his dad. This funeral was just as memorable. The setting sun in Simi Valley Reagan Library was awesome!! What also blessed me about this funeral, was how many well wishers turned out in person. I think it blessed Nancy Reagan also, she looked so rested after her plane ride to this coast. Michael and Ron Reagan gave wonderful speeches about their Dad. We need to pray for Patti Davis.

I love you. You are a child of GOD, the one GOD Almighty, through His son, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit, if you believe this, you are a child of GOD. If you believe that Jesus is the only son of GOD, born of a virgin, died on the cross, rose again, and is coming again; where every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is LORD, you will go to Heaven. If you don't believe this, you will NOT go to Heaven, it is that simple. GOD would not want anyone to perish, that's why He sent his son, to save the world from their sins. I am a believer in Jesus Christ, are you? Think about your own heart beliefs, our own choices. We must choose on earth, not on our deathbed, what our belief is. I believe Ronald Reagen is in Heaven, as I beieve that my dad, brother are in Heaven. I have prayed and tried to raise my children in the nurture and admonition of the LORD, it is up to them to choose their own beliefs. I cannot push my beliefs on my family or you, I can only offer the truth. And in love, do I offer Jesus to you. The truth will set you free.

For more information, go to your local Bible, especially the book of John in the gospels. Enough preaching on this Sunday, the day of our LORD.

LOVE, Rae

Happy Birthday Dad! You are in heaven now, but I want to touch bases and tell the world how much I love you.

There are alot of people who did not have a great dad but I did! He was full of compassion, love, kindness, laughter, dry humor. He passed away Feb, 2001. My mom has lived with us since April of 2001. They were married 51 years, they had me first, then a boy, girl, boy. My brother has also died in 1988, so my mom has enough to get sad about. I want her to get involved in activities. She tries. She goes to A.A. meetings where my dad and her were well known. He taught people how to love. He would come up to everyone, and give big bear hugs.

That's what my sons-in-law remember, Big Bob's hugs. His love and acceptance, are what people remember. He was also a veteran, and had the nicest funeral at Riverside Veterans Memorial Cemetary, with the 21 gun salute, put three bullets inside the folded flag. That meant that he served in the military in uniform. My brother had the same, but not at Riverside. He wanted his ashes thrown at sea, since he was Navy military.

There has been alot of funerals lately and it makes us think of our own mortality, and legacy. What am leaving for my family to remember me by? Will they remember the laughter, fun, silliness? That's what I desire for the rest of my life, fun, laughter, fun, silliness, fun, and more fun! What did I used to do that was just fun? Ride a bike, play in water, pretend house, pretend mommy, go to the beach on impulse. Take my kids on joy rides, like toilet papering their friends houses. Ok, time to do that to my friends! Watch out, here comes fun!

Thank you Ronald Reagan!

He was one of those great men in history. No matter what others think of his politics, he was a wonderful man! He reminds me of my Dad. Kandy would agree if she views my blog. The laughter, making others laugh, great smile.

Here's what we did on D-day; Bruce and I went to see where he was stationed in the Air Force, in Camarillo, CA. They have a WWII museum with fighter planes, photos, videos, guys dressed like soldiers of that era. We were going to Thousand Oaks for something, and went 11 more miles to see his old ex-Air Force base. Now it is a small airport and high school. It is still cool, cuz his barracks are still there, the old theater, BX. We were engaged not married when he was stationed there, so its like going back in time to a simpler time. The only thing that has changed is on highway 101, used to be two lane, with oleander down the middle divider. Now it's 4 lanes on both sides, no pretty plants, only a few eucalyptus trees. So we had fun driving around the base, reminiscing.

Thank you veterans of America! You are a wonder and a blessing, thank you for serving our country, we have freedom because of you.
