It is my sister, Susie's birthday! I sent a card.

I really miss the closeness we used to have before she moved to Hesperia (the dessert). Whenever I think of her, I think of her blonde, reddish hair, her slender tall stature. My daughter remembers Aunt Susie as taking them somewhere fun. And me babysitting baby Nicole, who is 18 months younger than Tommy.

Tomrrow is my brother, Robert's birthday. I have a much different relationship with the youngest brother. He made wrong choices for his life, and it is difficult for me to handle his temper. In fact it is hard for him to keep jobs because of his temper. Since I have been getting mental health, and anti-depressants, I think he needs simular help. Will you pray for him? Every time he calls, our mom, her mood changes into sadness.

I am the oldest of four children, I loved my baby brothers and sister. Fred, was born four years after me, we share the month of August for birthdays. Susie was next, when I was 5 1/2 yrs old in March. Then 3 yrs later came this cute little blonde boy, Robert. In fact we all had blonde hair and blue eyes. My mom is German and my Dad was Welch.

All this reminiscing makes me realize how life changes in stages. First we are children; then we get older, where we think we know more than parents; we get married, have children; the children grow up become smarter than us; they have children; then the older generation needs taking care of, and the grandchildren need the same care. Then we will need someone to care for us. It is all in cycles. I've also learned that, "whatever goes around, comes around." Meaning: the way we talk will come back to us, good or bad. Since we all have choices, I choose the good side, the right side (not necessarily the side who are winning).

I've been having successful Creative Memories events! Karlene has been attending and keeping current on the baby's album. A different person has come to the last three events, so I get to know them better. It has helped me to find our photos, to organize and clean more often. Even if only one person shows up, it is a success!

Someone is this close to signing a contract with Creative Memories and sell with my team. Yeah! I'll tell you who after I see the signed contract!

Karlene and boys and I went to Alpine Village in Torrance, CA, on a rainy day. Josh got to talk a little German to the waitress and a customer. We had fun! When Josh & Caleb come here, Josh loves to draw his Native American Apache village. Caleb likes to play cards or solitare on computer. So I am glad I have more time to spend with the grandchildren.
