Hello bloggers,
My name is Rae, a woman in Southern California. Married, since childhood, raised five (5) wonderful children. Now it is my turn to go back to college. Yes, after 25 years out of college, I signed up for a class for Interior Design. The class is called "Drafting for Interior Design".
Ok, so it is much more difficult than I imagined, but I am getting thru this challenge. The first challenge, was that I needed stronger reading glasses, 2.0 was not making it. I went to an optomotrist to get my eyes checked, they are fine for now, she said to get 2.5 for reading.
So, what I would like to have comments about, is what to do with this newly acquired knowledge.
A little background on why I signed up for Interior Design is that I came across my 1967 "Interior Decorating," notebook from high school. In that notebook, the teacher graded it an A (in red ink), and said what a joy to grade an A notebook. Well that gave me lots of encouragement! I also found a simular notebook, dated 1978 from college, with the same grade. OK, that clinched it, I told this tale to a Home-Ec teacher at the high school I work. The next day she gave me a flyer for a city College (not my locale), that was before Winter break 2002. I went to that college and looked up on the internet, then called. Well first, I asked my 21 yr old son how to fill out an application for college. He showed me that the classes I circalled were available after a prerequested class. Anyway, that's how I ended up in Drafting, from Jan. 23 - May 29, 2003.
So the rest of my life is on hold, until I get thru this one 5 hour class every thursday done.
Thanks, any encouragement and atta-girls are greatly appreciated!
